Job Description
NOTE: The Hiring Manager is open to have candidates from either Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver
Manager Must Haves
- 6-10 years of experience in IT risk management / IT control testing
- Hands-on IT control testing experience is an ABSOLUTE MUST to get hired
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of FINRA, SEC, MSRB, FRBNY, and OCC rules and regulations
- Strong understanding overall of technology and/or financial services industry
Day-to-Day
- Directly from the hiring manager — “Majority part of the day-to-day will be controlling testing, including reviewing controls, advising control owners, providing updates, reports, etc. You can say 90%.”
Soft Skills
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to meet consistently high standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders
- Excellent time management
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working in cyber security
- Experience working for Big 4 in IT risk consulting and/or audit
