We are looking for a Junior Logistics Data Analyst for our corporate office in Scarborough.
Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing analysis in areas such as transportation costs and delivery processes
- Maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating and demand forecasting
- Develop and maintain KPI’s in BI tool.
- Confer with Senior Analyst to determine ways to optimize service levels, Maximize vehicle usage, and limit the movement of empty vehicles and containers to minimize cost
- Support Senior Analyst to remotely monitor the flow of vehicles and inventory using Web-based logistics information systems to track vehicles and trailers
- Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes
- Review procedures, to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum cost
- Support Senior Analyst in daily tasks and ongoing projects.
- Maintain data on logistics elements, such as Supply chain management, strategic sourcing/distribution, and transportation.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience in Logistics and Business Analytics
- A high level of mathematical ability
- Advanced knowledge of data Analytics in Excel
- Ability to analyze, model and interpret data
- Excellent interpersonal, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to interact with employees and customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Able to work independently with limited supervision
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Exceptional written, listening, and verbal communication skills
