THE ROLE:
As the Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, building and maintaining relationships within the organization. While it is important to be able to provide sourcing strategies for talent attraction, the role necessitates a hands-on professional who can develop and implement recruitment policies, procedures, interview guides and best practices in alignment with the culture, values and business objectives. The role requires you to managing onboarding tasks as well as screen, and interview for top talent in our field level positions and provide expertise in making our hiring practices more efficient.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Responsible for sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing and assessing candidates and developing effective practices to ensure a qualified candidate pool is consistently available.
- Establish effective working relationships with business leadership as well as the HR team based on trust, experience, and credibility to leave the approval process and garner an understanding of business needs.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting, build networks and develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of needs.
- Conduct phone screen of qualified candidates and make recommendations to the hiring manager
- Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews
- Inform candidates of all applicable information regarding position requirements
- Facilitate employment verifications and reference checks
- Extending offers to successful candidates
- Document all communication between the applicant and hiring manager
- Utilize the internet and social media to support sourcing and recruitment plans.
- Manage all aspects of onboarding, document collection and filing.
- Assist and consult on the development of job descriptions.
- Identify opportunities for process-improvement.
- Additional and alternative duties that may be changed from time-to-time by the Employer.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 1-3 years front-line/full-cycle recruitment experience
- Demonstrate success in developing and executing onboarding and recruitment strategies
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Able to work under pressure and changing work environments
- Previous experience working in high volume construction recruitment or security recruitment is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate with various audiences, stakeholders and end users.
- Strong customer service skills with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
- Post-secondary education with a major in Human Resources or a related field is an asset
