We are looking for a diligent, highly motivated Building Operator to join our Building Operation’s team. As a Building Operator at Blackstone, you will be responsible for maintaining building operations at peak efficiency and developing positive client relationships at various Blackstone managed properties. You will ensure the proper maintenance of the Okotoks portfolio.
Job Description:
- Perform daily building operations tasks, including equipment inspections and mechanical system checks, building maintenance and repairs, and regular building surveillance tours.
- Maintaining site cleanliness and aesthetics
- Ensure that preventive maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with Blackstone’s standards.
- Monitor and liaise with maintenance staff and subcontractors while they are onsite.
- Maintain an auditable water treatment program adhering to all approved parameters.
- Respond to service requests and emergencies.
- Complete accurate and detailed documentation as required on a regular basis.
- Adhere to the Quality Management System policies and actively participate in processes to ensure intended outputs.
- Interact and establish good customer relationships with client contacts.
Experience & Qualifications
- Valid 5th Class Power Engineers Certificate
- Minimum two years firsthand building operations experience
- Commercial building experience
- Exceptional knowledge of building operating systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to lead subcontractors and trades workers.
- Able to be on call and work after hours.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract with access to a reliable vehicle
- Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks and common area improvement and requesting necessary supplies.
- Be the foundation for maintaining and enhancing the customer service experience while responding and attending to tenant requests.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
