Crestview Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our innovative and collaborative team.

In this position, you will provide end-to-end support to our managers and employees using a consultative approach. Creating an exceptional employee experience is top of mind in every interaction. With strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage tools and technology, you will use your understanding of HR practices and employment legislation to provide sound advice to our teams.

You will be responsible for providing support in all areas of HR, including recruitment, onboarding and orientation, health and safety, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, employee engagement, and data analytics.

This position is an onsite role working with multiple dealerships within the Capital Automotive Group.


Responsibilities


Policy and strategy

  • Provide legislation and policy interpretation as well as HR program support to managers and employees.


Talent acquisition & Onboarding

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment, including determining a recruitment strategy with key stakeholders, creating job descriptions and postings, screening resumes, shortlisting, interviewing, and checking references.

  • Prepare employment contracts and offer packages.

  • Provide an exceptional onboarding experience to all new hires; assisting managers to make sure new hires 1st days are set


Employee relations and engagement

  • Create, implement, and promote programs to enhance morale, productivity, and culture.

  • Provide coaching and assistance to managers as they navigate the employee lifecycle, including performance management, corrective actions, and leave management (disability, maternity, parental and other job-protected leaves).

  • Facilitate and manage employee leaves and returns to work alongside the payroll and benefits team

  • Identify potential employee relations issues, escalating and resolving as needed.

  • Assist in conducting full-scope investigations where required to address claims including, but not limited to, workplace harassment and violence and other policy breaches.


Health, safety, and wellness

  • Assisting the Payroll Analyst in reviewing and tracking OHS incident reports and take appropriate action.

  • Manage WCB claim alongside the payroll analyst


HR metrics and reporting

  • Gather relevant data and reporting on key HR metrics.

  • Conduct comprehensive audits by creating and analyzing reports, employee information, turnover and headcount’s


Learning & Development

  • Working alongside the General Managers to identify top talent

  • Working along side the General Managers and Department Managers to ensure annual and semi annual performance reviews are completed.


Administration

  • Complete all respective documentation and administration related to talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, employee changes, terminations, and other aspects of HR.

  • Create and disburse various employee letters, including offers, terminations, and leaves of absence.

  • Maintain accurate employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

  • Complete exit interviews and maintain feedback from employees


Qualifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related discipline is required. Equivalencies of education may be considered.

Experience: A minimum of two to three years’ experience in an HR generalist capacity is required. Equivalencies of experience may be considered.

Functional knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of provincial employment legislation, employee relations practices and the HR competency framework.

Technical: Experience with the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with HRIS systems (Workday would be preferred). Experience with Google suite for email and drive would be an advantage.
