Reporting to the Director, Eastern Logistics Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, managing, and coordinating of activities related to their team within a fast pace. This role will focus on coaching and developing a team of 25 members. Through team work and collaboration, this role will ensure the achievement of all targets including; safety standards, quality standards, department budget, productivity levels, and customer service levels. We are seeking an Operations Manager in Moncton, also supporting our Newfoundland distribution center. This position is 100% on-site.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be :
Driving continuous improvement methodology throughout the facility to simplify processes and improve efficiency

Managing the department’s budget and working on initiatives to reduce costs while maintaining high levels in terms of quality and productivity standards

Managing teams assigned to inventory control and support corporate internal and external audits by reporting findings and providing corrective action plans

Planning future capacity requirements by data analytics of trends and make recommendations to the Director

Working with Director in analyzing staffing needs

Ensuring proper training of staff and analyze future needs

Actively coaching Assistants on performance management and applying progressive disciplinary measures as required

Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded

Ensuring all Health and Safety rules are met and suggest preventive measures to improve the overall H&S standards of the facility

Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Participating in Supplier and/or Customer reviews and projects

Providing frequent communication and feedback to the team

Participating in and leading cross-functional projects for the Eastern Region or Nationally

This Job might be for you if:
You possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role in Supply Chain or Distribution

You have a college degree in a related discipline such as Supply Chain Management or Business Administration

You are experienced in managing business processes and leading large groups of individuals

You have strong leadership, motivational and influencing skills

You make Health and Safety in the workplace a priority

You have established communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills) with the ability to communicate strategic concepts effectively to all levels of the organization

You enjoy working in a high pressure environment, being adaptable and flexible

You use information technology to access, analyze and qualify operational data

You have advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office tools)

You are energetic and able to respond quickly in a changing fast-paced environment
