Accounting Manager Position:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the accounting functions of the finance department. As our Accounting Manager you will lead the accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury and financial statement preparation. You will assist the CFO and lead aspects of external and internal financial reporting. You will lead your team of Accounting Assistants and will take the lead on optimizing your team including training programs and coaching.

Core Accountabilities Highlights:

Lead Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, & Treasury Functions

  • Oversees and reviews processes as outlined in the Finance Department Functional Org Chart
  • Reviews work for timeliness, completion, and accuracy
  • Delegates tasks between themselves and staff, taking on high risk and complexity work as necessary
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are enforced to protect integrity of Centra and its financial interests
  • Pursues continuous improvement and development in accounting procedures

Financial Statement Preparation & Financial Reporting

  • Oversees and reviews processes as outlined in the Finance Department Functional Org Chart
  • Prepares monthly financial statements for all divisions
  • Collaborates with CFO & FP&A Manager in communicating financial results to all levels of the organization
  • Responsible for the maintenance and development of the accounting software system and general ledger
  • Leads external financial compliance with government agencies
  • Leads annual external audit preparation and assists audit staff with inquiries
  • Assists FP&A Manager in preparation of budgets & forecasts
  • Assists CFO in interdepartmental communication of financial results

People Management

  • Works with the CFO to determine optimal staffing, skill sets and compensation; ensures the timely and effective hiring, onboarding, training, evaluation and management of receivables and payables staff
  • Evaluates employee training programs, identifies constraints and weaknesses in staff and procedures and takes the lead in training and coaching initiatives to effect improvements.
  • Manages employee vacation scheduling and assesses the impact of absenteeism
  • Conducts monthly performance conversations with staff
  • Promotes the company culture and strategic goals with staff

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years Accounting Management experience

Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
