CIMA Enoteca - Burlington
CIMA Enoteca is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dedicated culinary team. CIMA is a full service Italian restaurant specialising in Neapolitan style wood-oven pizza, house-made pasta, and regional Italian cuisine.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. They should possess a strong understanding of Italian cuisine, with a focus on pizza and pasta. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting the Chef in menu development and recipe creation
Overseeing and training kitchen staff
Managing inventory and ordering of supplies
Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Participating in the preparation and presentation of dishes during service
The successful candidate will possess:
Culinary education or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
Strong leadership and management skills
A passion for Italian cuisine and an understanding of traditional techniques
Strong communication and organisational skills
