The role of Senior Accountant is an integral, fast-paced opportunity. The ideal candidate is looking to streamline processes, and excited by growth and change. Intermediate Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and is responsible for accurate and timely accounts payable processing for the organization. This role is based out of our Head Office in Edmonton.


You will realize success by your ability to:

  • Produce concise and complete Financial Statements according to GAAP
  • Actively support and participate in company-wide initiatives
  • Analyze financial information including variance and labour analysis
  • Prepare budget and cash flow forecast
  • Prepare regulatory reporting
  • Analyze government requirements to maximize funding
  • Prepare GST returns
  • Complete Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Prepare journal entries including accruals
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Create ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedule
  • Communicate effectively with the clients, government agencies and staff
  • Keep team members informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues
  • Actively participate in year-end audit
  • Present Financial Statements to the owners
  • Assist team members as needed


Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

  • Two + years’ related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
  • CPA student
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE or IFRS
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective at decision making and judgment
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Solid computer skills, experience with Yardi would be an asset
  • Strong time management skills with a work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
