Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements (e.g., functional and technical requirements, information need, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with clients, analyzing the information and being able to document an accurate understanding of their business requirements and mapping of those to SAP business processes.
- Confidence and ability to make recommendations for selection of appropriate SAP business processes to meet client requirements effectively.
- Functionality Testing: Knowledge of and ability to use testing methodologies, processes, and tools for testing of functionality, including unit, integration, system, regression, and dry run testing.
- Ability to design and develop test plans (e.g., test objectives, test cases, test data, test scripts) for executing unit, integration, system, or acceptance testing in order to ensure the solution meets the business requirements.
- Develop process models based on business requirements to determine the completeness of the information and process components.
- Coordinate execution of project tasks in your functional area and be comfortable in working under the pressure of tight project deadlines.
- Provide support (e.g., break/fix, how to expertise, minor enhancements, monitoring, testing) for business applications or infrastructure to associates or third parties to maintain their productivity level (including international and fourth level break/fix support).
- Ability to deliver basic SAP training to client end-users.
- Work very closely with business decision makers and end users.
- Assist in presales engagements through review of requirements, estimation of tasks, and development of proposal material.
- Support complex and strategic deals across the market unit and region in order to achieve our targets for software license revenue.
- Collaborate with our team to plan account strategies through participation in informal and formal account reviews.
- Be the subject matter expert and provide advanced pre-sales support for one or more of our and/or SAP’s solution(s).
- Interact with customers through executive meetings, discovery conversations, solution demonstrations, executive presentations and follow-up discussions.
- Reinforce the business value of our solutions through creation of compelling presentations, demonstrations and participation in Design Thinking engagements
- Stay up to date with the latest ConvergentIS and SAP solutions as well as industry trends.
- Maintain a close understanding and appreciation of competitive solutions.
- Share in-depth knowledge and experience with the rest of our team.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
- ECC/S4 Hana experience, and Business Network experience is an asset
- Business process expertise in one or more areas across a customers’ value chain
- Doing the right thing even when no one is looking. Period.
- Strong leadership skills – able to lead customer engagements at an executive level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience implementing complex business and technology solutions (SAP preferred).
- The ability to consult with the enterprise (not just IT) about challenges and goals, and what the best way is to help achieve these goals.
- A focus on communication -> We’d rather have you over-communicate with our clients than the opposite
- A strong attention to detail -> PM tools, strategies and artifacts are wonderful but only if they are managed and executed by someone who understands that project success lies in the details. Thinking things through means covering these early.
- Experience managing software development/configuration projects, preferably in an agile (or agile-ish) environment.
- Ability to estimate the financial impact of various solution architecture alternatives.
- 5+ years of SAP experience 5+ years consulting experience.
- 10+ years of enterprise architecture (business & IT) experience.
- A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject with proven working experience.
The position is a hybrid position, remote work may be available. There may be occasional requirements to travel (primarily limited to Canada with the occasional US trip).
