Convergint is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our growing team in our Ottawa location. As the Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering successful warehousing and inventory management for the smooth functioning of the warehouse. Scope of work includes fulfilling shipping and receiving requirements, recording in financial system, storage of goods into inventory and maintaining the smooth flow of materials and cleanliness of the overall building facilities.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”
- Authenticate the goods received and record and manage shipments that have any discrepancies in the order.
- Coordinate receiving and dispatch of goods with transporters and suppliers in timely manner.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of goods and supplies including performing inventory of products received and putting product away accurately.
- Keep and maintain accurate records of all the inventory and stock in the warehouse.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Act as inventory facilitator which includes quarterly counts, timely and accurate updates of the inventory listing and adherence to the materials transfer process.
- Work with the Purchasing Specialist to ensure all products are received and issues addressed.
- Matches PO to packing slip, provides order information and pick-up status, provides back-up to partial orders, organizes paper flow, filing etc. Update PO in Spectrum with goods received and file packing slips as per specific CTC location procedures. In some CTC locations the warehouse coordinator forwards packing slips to the Purchasing Specialist/ team for processing in a timely manner.
- File documents as requested and as required adhering to Convergint’s filing standards and records retention policy.
- Deliver materials to job sites as required.
- Pick up and drop off vehicles that require servicing as and when required.
- Monitor and ensure all vehicles are maintained according to Convergint standards regarding cleanliness and proper supplies.
- Track and manage the tool inventory matrix for the location.
- Order cleaning supplies and toiletry items for the washrooms and check washroom areas on a weekly basis to ensure they are stocked with applicable toiletry items.
- Monitor photocopy areas weekly for paper stock and supply as necessary. Keep photocopy areas tidy by removing any recycling items.
- Maintain and empty recycle receptacles in all kitchen areas on a weekly basis. Stock kitchen supplies such as paper towels and detergent as required.
- Executes all work in accordance with Provincial, local regulations, general best practices as well as Company health and safety policies and procedures. Adhere to legal documentation norms pertaining to warehousing.
- Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.
What You’ll Need
- Strong ability to efficiently network and coordinate work with transporters and suppliers.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good computer skills including proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good financial system proficiency with respect to purchase order entry, inventory tracking, goods received, credits
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be a self-starter and work well with limited supervision.
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
Requirements:
- Diploma in retailing, warehousing, supply chain management or any related discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a warehousing facility.
- Experience with warehouse/inventory systems preferred.
- Previous experience working in a construction environment preferred.
- Must have a valid and clean class 5 driver’s license.
- Forklift certification or license preferred
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, the colleague may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
The colleague must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to and sometimes in excess of 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
