WHAT’S THE JOB?
Calling out to all Dishwashers out there who are looking to progress their career in the Food industry. Look no further! Dana Hospitality is a Canadian owned food service provider that focuses on making culinary creations from scratch using fresh local ingredients. We are passionate about the whole foods and ingredients we select, and the suppliers we chose. You will want to work for Dana because we have developed an industry reputation for exceptional cuisine and excellent customer service. We are currently looking for a Food Service Associate – Dishwasher to join our culinary team.
The position will…
- Conduct daily inspections of work areas and keep all work areas clean and sanitary
- Load, operate and empty dishwasher, and put dishes away
- Maintain food handling and sanitation standards; understand and implement Dana’s Health & Safety Standards
- Interact with suppliers, distributors, clients, and guests in a positive and welcoming manner
- Clean the fridge, freezer and other kitchen equipment as directed by the Chef Manager
- Maintain highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
- Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Certifications as required to comply with local Health codes
- Foodservice facility experience will be valued
- Successfully complete and pass the required security checks
- Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements and food handling safety standards
- Understanding of food waste control
- Good customer and associate relation skills
- Good communication skills (verbal, listening, writing, presentation)
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards (WCB, MSDS)
- Ability to lift (10kg.), pull & push heavy loads & be exposed to extreme temperatures
