This role will report directly to our CEO. Our team is remote and this position may reside in the U.S. or Canada with travel required as necessary.

About the role:

The Director of BD will lead in the development of our National sales Platform and leader of our customer acquisition efforts via the recruitment of development of a high-performance sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall development of implementation of a national sales program for Darwynn
  • Responsible for the hiring and development of a high-performance sales team
  • Be directly responsible for developing new opportunities with clients and managing the sales pipeline
  • Participates on Senior Leadership Team as a key business partner in the creation and development of the company vision, strategies, business plans, initiatives, and programs in making key business decisions
  • Develops organizational sales and customer engagement strategies to drive continuous and exponential growth across all customer accounts
  • The Director must be comfortable leading others, jumping in support the sales process as necessary, and helping our existing partners reach their full potential
  • You will be a key role and be responsible for developing and executing on our strategy to add new partners to the Darwynn fulfillment network.
  • This role leads collaborative sales efforts and utilizes other cross-functional departments as necessary
  • Generate new revenue by managing a team that brings in both small to enterprise size clients

Desired Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven track record of establishing and implementing successful sales strategies across an organization
  • Minimum of 8 years of B2B Sales experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of Sales Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability of leading, managing, and inspiring others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced work environment
  • Superb time management, judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • You possess a clear understanding of P&L as well as a passion for selling value
  • We require a person with true leadership skills, someone that is comfortable bringing new ideas and a fresh approach to our business while at the same time can be very hands on and willing to service both large and small accounts
  • We are looking for a proven ability to work well with marketing, creative and technology teams
  • You have previously managed others and are both comfortable and accomplished at mentoring and helping them drive new business, manage existing accounts, maximize the effectiveness, deliver accurate forecasts and ensure the proper adoption of CRM tools
  • Comfortable in a start-up environment
