We’re seeking an experienced, Maintenance Technician to join our team. You’ll operate out of one of our dynamic Fulfillment Centers: these sit at the heart of Darwynn world-class, rapidly growing business. They’re where we manage our fast-moving inventory; they’re also where we developed our smart, industry-leading workflows.
As an Maintenance Technician, you’ll be acting as a key supportive role for the teams you your with, but at the same time, you don’t shy away from rolling up your sleeves and getting involved whenever necessary.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician
· Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
· Conduct maintenance of electrical systems
· Survey equipment and buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations
· Conduct regular Preventive Maintenance schedules on organizational assets
· Support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, automation and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
· Aid in budget development and ensure it is followed
· PLC, robot and HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting
· Preventative maintenance of production and support equipment
· Repair of equipment
· Design, verification and maintenance of electrical schematics
· Assist in setting up, maintaining programming, electrical components and schematic standards
· Assist in proper maintenance of all programming software, application files and programming hardware
· Completion of all required work orders and associated paperwork
· Responsible to improve equipment reliability and uptime related to automation and controls
· Implementation of Continuous Improvement Ideas related to automation and robotics as assigned
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician
· Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (Robot and Automation Program) and/or Provincial Electricians Ticket (442A or 309A) or applicable substitute
· Previous experience with automated equipment required
· Previous experience with automation maintenance, production and process equipment preferred
· Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
· Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
· Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
· Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools
· Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· EPA technician certification would be an asset
· Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
