Job Title: P&C Assistant (The Plant)

Location: Calgary, AB

Department: People & Culture

Reports to: People & Culture Manager, Indirectly People & Culture Advisor

Key Relationships: Cultivation, Sanitation, Operations, and People & Culture.

Role Purpose/ Summary: As P&C Assistant, you will maintain a positive work environment and effective employee relations by providing support and guidance to employees and management in a variety of People & Culture functions, including talent acquisition, training, recognition, and performance management. You will have an active role in onboarding new employees, coordinating orientation and training, preparing all talent acquisition functions including posting of jobs, booking interviews, and preparing offers. This role will assist other P&C team members in carrying out all employee programs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide an internal and external stakeholder-focused approach in order to act as a first point of contact on P&C related issues and inquiries
  • Full cycle recruitment of all hourly positions, including orientation and training of new hires
  • Support employee engagement programs/activities including organizing and planning employee functions
  • Maintain confidential employee records within the HRIS system (Dayforce)
  • Process and manage Workers Compensation and disability claims, ensuring documents are received within required timelines
  • Provide administrative support for all aspects of P&C as requested by the P&C Advisor
  • Provide support for all P&C programs and projects as assigned by P&C Manager (Corporate)

Qualifications:

  • A college diploma or equivalent in Human Resources would be preferred
  • One (1) year of experience in a similar Human Resources related role, recruiting experience is considered an asset
  • Two (2) years of experience within an administrative role

Salary: $46,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
