The Firm is seeking an individual who is aligned with the Firm’s cultural values to join the team as an Accounting Technician.

As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain books of accounts; journal entries, reconciliations
- Reconcile accounts
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculating and preparing GST/HST, payroll and other government remittances
- Preparing T4’s, T4A’s, and T5018’s
- Preparing corporate income tax returns
- Completing WSIB and EHT filings
- Recording investments either using Excel or using specific software program
- Preparing personal income tax returns
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

- Minimum three (3) years experience in a public accounting firm preferred
- Bookkeeping experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
