Basic Function

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, located in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a Marketing Operations Specialist. The Marketing Operations Specialist will be responsible for the consistent and disciplined execution of marketing processes within HFLS including: stewarding the Speed to Market process, portfolio management of collateral and materials, market research and insights, supporting budget governance reporting and assisting in management of the product lifecycle. They will contribute in the development of segment plans and execution activities in order to deliver the most value for our customers, distributors, associates and organization.


Job Duties

Segment & Innovation Support:

  • Steward the Speed to Market process from idea inception to project implementation
  • Develop agency briefs to outline expectations and requirements for creative materials
  • Provide product launch support including creation of collateral, literature, training and communication
  • Support execution of segment strategies, market research and product training
  • Implement label and packaging requirements while contributing to the design
  • Assist in the execution of advertising, trade shows, customer testimonials, campaigns and promotions
  • Campaign management, lead qualification and assignment. Monitor performance and track ROI
  • Support preparation and execution of budget governance reporting and expense management
  • Lead development and implementation of market research plans to support the growth of the business
  • Manage relationships with various suppliers (advertising, trade shows, digital, printing, labels, etc.)

Reporting & Communication:

  • Steward budget governance reporting and monthly expense management
  • Utilize Salesforce to provide project updates/milestones and communicate with cross-functional teams
  • Support the Marketing Programs Manager in developing KPIs/metrics and creating reporting dashboards
  • Contribute to annual marketing category volume and margin performance and 5-year plans
  • Provide analytical insights with actionable recommendations focused on results
  • Conduct competitive analysis and preparation of market research findings
  • Contribute in cross-functional team meetings alongside Sales, R&D and Global Supply Chain
  • Participate in audit and reviews as needed

Marketing Processes:

  • Manage, develop and optimize the Speed to Market process
  • Initiate product line changes (PLC’s) and monitor workflow progress
  • Steward internal Red Folder approval process for marketing collateral
  • Portfolio management of marketing materials including tech datas, tech bulletins, sell sheets, brochures etc.
  • Participate in projects to improve overall Marketing department processes and capabilities
  • Assist in the management of the product lifecycle through SKU optimization

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, for example but not limited to:

  • Leading budget planning and reporting for the Global Marketing team
  • Administering speed to market process
  • Managing SKU optimization
  • Leading market research and related reporting
  • Managing audits and records management initiatives


Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a marketing role
  • Project management skills is preferred
  • Business administration experience is an asset
  • Experience of CRM (Salesforce) is preferred


Education Level

  • A university degree is required

Work Conditions

  • This is ideally an office based role, but hybrid options may be available
  • Some business travel may be required.
