Hidden Valley Resort
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervises Food and Beverage team members pertaining to Hidden Valley Resort, Restaurant Dining, and Banquets to ensure the highest quality guest service and presentation.
Assists with counseling, coaching, and disciplining of staff as appropriate.
Completes opening/closing checklist for all Food and Beverage spaces and supervises related staff assignments.
Oversees completion of all opening/closing sidework.
Monitors running sidework during AM/PM shift to ensure proper equipment levels.
Ensures all Food and Beverage outlets are properly set for beginning/end of business day.
Ensures a positive guest experience and facilitates the smooth daily operation of the outlets
Participates in staff training and regularly monitors performance to ensure Hidden Valley Resort service levels are maintained at all times.
Circulates throughout the Food and Beverage venues talking with guests and monitoring service levels.
Execute Banquet Event Orders for business meetings and social events;
Responsible for all aspects for each function including, coordinating with vendors and other departments ;
Assist with hiring, training, and directing restaurant & banquet staff as well as with managing inventory ;
Confirm the table complements (salt, pepper, sugar, breadbaskets.) have been properly cleaned and filled ;
Set up banquet meeting space per room set-up instructions (classroom, theater, u-shaped, etc.) , serve banquet function, tear down tables and clean event space ;
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of restaurant & banquet spaces ;
Maintain communication with the guest contact person for guest needs , acknowledging and responding to all guest requests ;
Set-up, operate and dismantle audio-visual equipment ;
Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of maintenance and usage of all Audio-Visual equipment ;
Conduct appropriate coaching and accountability of food and beverage associates when service, performance, or cleanliness standards are not met; and
Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Resolves problems and executes service recoveries if necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
Supervises staff’s punctuality and adherence to uniform and appearance standards.
Interacts with staff on a regular basis to communicate needs and goals while providing employees with the opportunity to share ideas and exchange feedback.
Report all product/service defects and takes ownership to get these deficiencies resolved.
Understands POS systems and has the capacity to perform basic functions on the servers’ stations
Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management.
Performs any other duties a s assigned by Manager.
Previous Leadership experience required
2 years leadership experience in a hotel or resort/supervising a restaurant is a must
Maitre’D experience an asset
Smart serve certificate required
Competent in all Microsoft office component is an asset
$20 plus gratuities
