People and Culture Manager

Coreio (www.coreio.com), a mid-sized company in the IT Infrastructure and Operations space, is looking to hire a People and Culture Manager to lead day to day management of the company’s People and Culture function. The incumbent will have oversight over all HR programs, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compliance and all other facets of HR. The incumbent will work closely with management and the talent acquisition team to support the organization in achieving its corporate objectives.

The ideal candidate brings experience and best practices from prior senior HR roles, and is comfortable owning corporate wide initiatives while also rolling up their sleeves to deliver in the day to day. In partnership with the team, the incumbent will support a staff of about 200 employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on an HR operating plan in support of the organization’s strategy and manage daily operations of the People and Culture team
  • Owning end to end employee experience at every stage in the employment cycle, from hire to departure, in alignment with our company’s values
  • Help build and ensure onboarding programs are delivered consistently and document is filed/managed in accordance with company policies
  • Continue to grow Coreio’s talent acquisition practice, with oversight over company-wide recruitment strategy, process and tools
  • Working with Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to continue to develop the company’s employer brand and talent pipeline
  • In partnership with finance and business leaders, managing resource allocations and forecasting staffing needs across lines of business
  • Taking ownership of and continuing to improve upon all HR programs in place, including:
  • Performance management
  • Compensation management
  • Compliance
  • Training and Development
  • Health and Safety
  • Support business leaders by providing sound coaching and advice on talent-related matters
  • Working with business leaders to ensure optimal resource utilization and cross-department mobility
  • Updating and administering policies and procedures
  • Owning HRIS (Dayforce), continuing to expand functionality by introducing new modules and improving user experience
  • Managing end to end employee relations issues, issuing discipline where required, and dealing with pre-legal disputes
  • Manage employee exits
  • Participate in employee engagement and recognition initiatives to boost morale and create a rewarding work environment for all
  • Oversee administrative function at Coreio, acting as reference point for various office-management and facilities-related inquiries
  • Provide payroll and benefits support as needed

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in the Human Resources field, with at least 3+ years in a senior level role
  • Undergraduate Degree or Certificate in Human Resources, or a related field
  • CHRP/CHRL designation a strong preference
  • Experience working with mid-sized or enterprise scale businesses, with exposure to and knowledge of a broad array of HR programs and best practices
  • Senior level experience in both employee relations and talent management is required
  • Experience with Dayforce preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation across Canadian jurisdictions. Knowledge of US employment legislation is an asset.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical capability
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail – proven ability to manage multiple tasks with consideration to changing timelines and directives
  • Sound judgement and the ability to view problems objectively, empathetically and advise on pragmatic solutions
