Role and Responsibilities
At JAC, every staff member contributes to a better world by embodying our mission statement – “to provide an excellent education for our students within a stimulating learning environment that will enhance their development and potential for success in society.” At your level, this entails:
- Developing recruitment and hiring strategies for positions/areas of expertise that are hard to fill.
- Writing job descriptions/postings that clearly and concisely highlight the requirements of the position.
- Using LinkedIn to post jobs and social posts and search database for highly qualified candidates.
- Overseeing the development of standby “talent pools” for a variety of technical & professional skills.
- Involved in the full-cycle recruitment process
- Leading the team in the development/expansion of our social media presence
- Collaborating with recruitment team in the sourcing of positions.
- For the hiring of highly skilled technical consultants, ensuring compliance with the hiring and documentation requirements of the LCOP (C-65.1 : Loi sur les Contrats des Organismes Publics).
- Serving as the key resource person to the management team to assess the best way to quickly get some help in emergencies.
- Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
- Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build talent pools of potential applicants, such as employer branding initiatives
- Build relationships with potential candidates
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Required Qualifications
We are looking for an accomplished and dynamic human resource professional who has a knack for all things social media. You are our ideal candidate if the following apply to you:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in recruitment and hiring with strong background in developing specific recruiting strategies to address a wide range of hiring needs.
- In-depth experience using LinkedIn Recruiter.
- In-depth experience using social media platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills and results oriented.
- Self-starter who wants to develop and spearhead recruitment initiatives autonomously.
Considered a Plus
- Experience with the Cegep network collective agreements would be a significant asset, particularly for the Support Staff and Professionals categories.
- Experience in the development of human resource talent pools is highly desirable.

- English (advanced)
