K’awat’si Economic Development is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Port Hardy, B.C.
The Human Resources Coordinator provides advisory services in all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, health and safety, compensations and benefits, performance development, training and development, and policy development.
***Please note this position cannot be done remotely and requires relocation to Port Hardy***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and serve as the first point of contact on Human Resource policies and procedures and benefits programs and ensure adherence to employment related laws.
- Assist the Human Resources Manager with coordinating the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring that candidates are the right fit for the organization and are properly supported in their work.
- Work with managers to identify position requirements and actively promote opportunities within the regional communities.
- Assist in addressing employee issues/complaints in a timely manner.
- Keep current on applicable compliance and regulations. Maintain records in accordance with the legal requirements.
- Support payroll processes as required.
- Ensure that employees receive the reinforcement of training needed to understand expectations and job responsibilities.
- Assist in coaching managers on effective ways to motivate the team and maximize employee engagement.
- Support Human Resources Manager when required.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Two years of related experience in Human Resources.
- Previous experience in Benefits Administration and Training preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or Diploma in Human Resources.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
