Director, Business Development


Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg’s leader in Permanent Recruitment, has partnered with our client to recruit a full-time permanent Business Development Manager. As a key member of the Executive Sales Management team, the Director, Business Development will establish, grow, and maintain relationships within existing client base and generate new business with new clients. This individual should be highly self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and deadlines and be able to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally. They are looking for a high energy self- starter and goal oriented individual. Responsibilities:

The Director, Business Development is responsible to:

  • Responsible for managing key accounts, develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth.
  • Develop new client relationships when presented with a new opportunity.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the clients’ business and partner in their ongoing success.
  • Prepare and/or work with our estimation team to review quotations/proposals.
  • Handle the quoting process with the clients, including negotiating.
  • Stay current on existing and emerging products and technologies.
  • Maintains ethical, cooperative relationships consistent with company image and company goals in the marketplace.
  • Contribute to internal and external marketing communication.
  • Recognize customer concerns and address proactively.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Having a strong technical background in electrical or automation would be an asset
  • Being sales driven with the added ability to communicate in a technical manner
  • A extroverted sales focused professional, that can build long lasting relationships, while knowing how to close the deal.
  • Past experience in a senior sales level role.
  • University Degree or College Diploma in an electrical related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the relevant industries and markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within assigned sales territory (estimated travel of less than 25%)
  • This is an in the office role with schedule flexibility.
