Reporting to the Controller – Commercial, the Accounting Manager is responsible for the consistent, timely and accurate completion of monthly financial results and for Halo Car Wash. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for ensuring processes and procedures are in place to safeguard the Company’s assets.

Main Duties:

  • Processing and reporting month-end close, including accurate and timely financial results and analysis.
  • Preparation and presentation of the monthly reporting packages to management.
  • Compilation of data from the car wash system to present relevant and timely weekly sales reports.
  • Accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Completion of CAPEX analysis and forecasting.
  • Completion of cash flow forecasting, monitoring of bank covenants, and reporting packages.
  • Safeguarding Company assets by ensuring proper use of the systems, and that processes and controls are recommended and implemented.
  • Validation of the data in the operating system, top ensure reconciliation to the general ledger.
  • Documentation of standard operating procedures and training of colleagues to ensure consistency throughout the organization.
  • Revision and mapping of internal processes, making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Identification and maintenance of operational reporting.
  • Reviewing and mapping internal controls, validation of data used for reporting, identifying key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • CPA designation or close to completion is a requirement.
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting, or equivalent business experience.
  • 5 + years’ experience in an Accounting & Reporting role.
  • Highly proficient with Excel at an intermediate or advanced level.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge in visual basic, SQL and Power Point would be an asset.
