Maple Lodge Farms, Ltd. was founded in 1955 and is based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

What you will be doing
- Partnering with Performance Culture, participate i content creation and facilitation, and lead the coordination of training programs.
- Partner in the development and management of employee feedback (from questionnaires, survey responses, etc.) that will drive initiatives, programs, and processes to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction across all levels of the organization.
- Create content and manage updates to employee ENGAGE communication portal, internal employee screens and employee communication boards.
- Lead the implementation of a new Communications App and be the main point of contact of its maintenance, to ensure a consistent flow of company-sponsored information reaches employees at all levels of the organization.
- Derived from employee interactions and observations, be the source of innovation, bringing forward ideas with supporting business proposals, that will make MLF an Employer of Choice and drive retention across the business.
- Partner with Smart Commute to re-introduce carpooling to Maple Lodge Farms.
- Provide support with our Performance Management program to help foster employee engagement and performance that drives company results.
- Provide support with our Learning Management system ensuring courses records and reports are kept up to date.
- Take an active lead in supporting our Employee Recognition programs.
- Provide support to other areas of HR as required.
What you will bring
- Minimum three years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Working knowledge of HR related legislation, including but not limited to the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA); Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), Ontario Labour Relations Act (OLRA) etc.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and contentious issues.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
- Strong ability to clearly communicate both written and verbal.
- Effective organizational skills.
- General computer skills (MS Office; HRIS).
- Knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc. an asset.
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field.
- Working toward or achievement of CHRP designation an asset.
