PARALEGAL – FAMILY LAW. Martin Estate and Injury Law, one of the Okanagan’s largest law firms with offices in Vernon, Lake Country and Kelowna, is hiring an experienced paralegal for our family law department. Experience in family law is required – those without family law experience cannot be considered.

This is a new position created because of our family law department’s growth. It will be based primarily in our newly renovated Lake Country office (in the Lakewood Mall at Oceola and Highway 97) but you may sometimes work from our Kelowna office (at Harvey & Ellis) if you live in Kelowna, or from home if you prefer hybrid work.

You will have a legal assistant and a junior paralegal to assist you, and we have separate staff who prepare bills. You can focus on the paralegal role rather than on administration. There is also opportunity for your recommendations to be given weight, in policies, precedents and ways to organize. We offer continuing education and support for professional growth.

Our friendly and well-managed firm takes a positive and constructive approach to finding solutions for our clients while reducing conflict within the family. We focus on quality rather than quantity – we do not have constant rushes or high volume. Our firm does not accept legal aid and instead offers some reduced fees and pro bono, particularly to those who are victims of abuse. We enjoy family law very much and we do our best to make a difference.

Salary: $60,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
