About Us: Matsqui Ag-Repair Ltd. located in Abbotsford, BC is a full-service dealership/distributor for multiple lines of farm equipment. We are currently searching for an organized and motivated individual to fill our Inventory & Logistics Coordinator position. If you have a background in or are willing to learn about, importing and exporting equipment, then this might be the position for you!

The Job: The inventory & logistics coordinator will be required to arrange the import/export of various types of farm equipment and products, process freight invoices, process customs paperwork, perform whole goods inventory counts, and assist in other freight or logistics processes. The inventory & logistic coordinator must be able to maintain accurate records and answer back inquiries in a timely manner. They will report to the office manager and will work closely with the sales administation team.

The Tasks:

  • Coordinate import/export shipments with various shipping companies, and customs brokers,
  • Shipment coordination for whole goods for end-user,
  • Preparing custom documents for all import/export of machinery,
  • Booking and tracking all shipments whether import, export, or end-user,
  • Sending in info and documentation to all necessary partners (i.e. custom brokers, shipping companies),
  • Sending delivery orders to freight companies in a timely manner to ensure prompt delivery of equipment,
  • Coordinating delivery times with various carriers,
  • Weekly whole good inventory counts,
  • Process freight invoices,
  • Process custom broker invoices,

Your Skills:

  • Knowledge of CBSA rules and regulations,
  • Background in the import/export industry,
  • Knowledge of computer programs and related equipment,
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently both verbally and written,
  • Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner,
  • Ability to participate in a team environment,
  • Ability to identify priorities and action them accordingly

Training/Education Requirements:

  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent,
  • Microsoft Office suite,
  • Training or background in inventory management is considered an asset,
  • Training or background in exporting/importing is considered an asset,
