Recruitment and Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Recruitment and Engagement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with top talent, building and nurturing relationships with candidates, and developing creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent. You will work closely with the Miles HR Executive team to understand client needs and help them build winning teams. You will be responsible for managing the recruitment pipeline process, from sourcing to onboarding. Candidate care, engagement and retention and candidate social media initiatives will be a key area of your oversight. You bring a service first focus to your daily engagement with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates through networking, referrals, and social media outreach
  • Screen and assess candidates to determine their qualifications and fit for the role
  • Partner with Senior Executive Team to develop client job descriptions and define candidate requirements
  • Conduct video and in person interviews with candidates
  • Manage the recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our applicant tracking systems
  • Create and place job ads and monitor ad budget
  • Implement and manage candidate and employee engagement and retention processes
  • Continuous systems improvement
  • Creating and working with marketing budgets
  • Work together with Marketing to create and implement social media engagement with candidate pool
  • Supervision of internal recruitment staff
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of recent recruiting experience, with a focus on candidate engagement and social media sourcing
  • 2+ years’ experience using Linkedin Recruiter
  • 2+ years’ Experience posting high quality job ads using Indeed and other job boards
  • Budgeting experience an asset
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with Canadian labour laws and Employment Standards Act
  • Working experience with Diversity and Inclusion policies
  • Strong initiative and high energy with a passion for connecting top talent with the best opportunities
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, Zoom, MS Teams, Asana
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Creative mindset with a passion for finding new and innovative ways to attract and retain top talent

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and other HR technology tools
