Your Moneris Career – What you’ll do
- Design, write, and debug programs with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable.
- Ensure all code is written, tested, integrated with the rest of the project code base.
- Perform unit testing, develop appropriate artifacts and/or documentation to facilitate final delivery.
- Participate in building solutions that are supportable, scalable and achieve the aspiration of common assets, use the enterprise monitoring/logging and require minimal to zero maintenance.
- Work with senior developers to analyze information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems/applications or modifications to existing systems.
- Analyze possible solutions using technical experience and judgement and precedents (e.g. create test plans, address escalated technical issues, begin to perform peer code review)
- Use prescribed guidelines or alternatives in analyzing situations
- Review and understand business requirements, functional and technical specifications to support assigned product changes. Under guidance and direction translates business requirements into detailed design specifications and code.
Your Moneris Career – What you bring
- A Bachelor’s degree is required. A degree/certificate in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering preferred – or equivalent work experience in a Technology or business environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in developing and following structured work processes in software development and / or software design
- Solid knowledge of Java, including its use on embedded systems (Android OS).
- Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
- Good understanding of Agile development and best practices.
