Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Sales & Marketing Manager will promote the hotel through several sales and marketing initiatives and service corporate and leisure inquiries utilizing an effective sales process.
· Development of the “Group” market and business opportunities by telephone solicitation as well as client meetings using yield management to ensure maximum revenues
· Negotiation and finalization of group contracts
· To ensure details of all contracts are complete and communicated to all relevant departments
· To be efficient, effective, and responsive with inquiries and requests utilizing professional communications
· To be fully knowledgeable of the hotel’s product and services (and local attractions and activities, etc)
· To produce printed sales materials and forms (flyers, meeting packages, brochures, contracts, etc)
· To give hotel tours and host approved events
· To be knowledgeable with Hotel Reservation Systems, On-Line bookings, Multimedia, and internet
Brand Management
- Contribute to the development of strategic brand architecture and roadmap for brand development
- Foster understanding and adherence to brand guidelines across the company to ensure consistent brand application
- Update or development of future website
E-Marketing
- Develop annual e-marketing calendar responsive to sales cycle, property and customer needs
- Work with IT to deliver best in class website user experience, with focus on content, navigation and visual impact
- Develop compelling content development and management strategies for website and other direct digital communications channels
- Foster culture of continuous improvement through measurement and refinement to e-marketing performance.
Social Media
- Devise and implement social media activation strategies for corporate marketing and establish strategy framework to establish Oakwood Resort as Ontario’s foremost social hotel brand
· To act as Manager On Duty when required
· To attend any approved sales workshops, co-op meetings, and/or special events
Knowledgeable in the local and corporate market
· Offering potential clients an impeccable service, efficiently and rapidly, as well as answering all their requests (anticipation of clients’ needs)

Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
