Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition, Global Banking and Markets – Toronto, ON
What you’ll be doing…
As a Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition, you will lead end-to-end recruitment for senior, complex, and specialized roles. You will partner with senior leaders and executives from intake, through advising on hiring decisions, ensuring the best talent selection for their team.

What will you do in this role?
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process including interviewing, assessing, and screening candidates,
offer management and negotiation, and making the final hiring decisions
- Source and attract candidates through various channels and build a pipeline of candidates for key roles
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience, building influential candidate relationships and keep a close pulse on the current market to identify needs/gaps that will improve the overall candidate experience
- Conduct market research as it relates to talent acquisition to advise our internal stakeholders on current trends and changes in attracting and retaining talent
- Manage the background check process attentively
- Contribute to the training and development of team members and provide support to the Team Lead
- Strategize with HR Business Partners on creating and implementing talent strategies
- Educate Hiring Managers on TA best practices and market intel/insights
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Champion a high performance environment, meeting metrics and goals, and fostering an inclusive work environment
- Build a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 3-5 + years of progressive recruiter experience, leading initiatives and building recruitment strategies
- The ability to build and maintain solid relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience innovatively sourcing candidates through various channels
- Experience in behavioural interviewing techniques and advising on hiring decisions
- Exceptional persuasive verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in French and/or Spanish is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proven expertise in behavioural interviewing techniques
- A post-secondary degree or diploma
- Financial institution or Investment Banking, Capital Markets recruitment experience would be an asset
