Influence and autonomy. This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys the challenges and rewards of building and nurturing client relationships, sharing knowledge, and keeping up with industry requirements and trends. You want the autonomy to manage your clients, present new offerings, negotiate service deals, and apply your solution-oriented, customer-focused approach to collaborate with peers, conduct research, and solve issues.
What you will do
- Foster client relationships. You will build and nurture strong client relationships to increase client retention and satisfaction, and profitability. You will act as a subject matter expert and champion, ensuring that clients have the tools and services they need to realize the value and benefits we offer.
- Spearhead client communications. You will create and deliver business plans for key clients and large implementations. You will deliver presentations and promotions on new products and services promotions to boost sales growth and grow the sponsor’s understanding of our offerings.
- Grow and share knowledge. You will stay up to date on our offerings, and work collaboratively with internal partners on pricing, renewals, plan changes, and administration. You will educate clients on administrative and legislative processes and requirements, such as federal and provincial legislative changes and evolving technological enhancements. You will ensure your clients are aware of changes and updates to compliance regulations.
- Support service representatives. You will mentor service representatives, guide their work, and leverage their skills for client-facing deliverables.
What you bring
- The education and experience. You have extensive client-facing experience in the group insurance industry. You can draw on your insights and industry expertise to make sound decisions that balance business and customer needs.
- The interpersonal skills. You have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence decision-makers. You are customer-focused and can build and nurture long-standing relationships with clients, intermediaries and peers. You thrive in an independent role and as a contributing team member.
- The project management. You are a self-starter with the ability to manage work with limited direction and you can plan and deliver projects. You have exceptional problem-solving capabilities, thinking creatively and analytically to satisfy client demands and propose solutions.
- The technical skills. You are highly proficient with MS Office, and you are comfortable learning and working with new technologies.
- The flexibility. You have a valid driver’s license, and you are willing and able to travel to client-facing meetings on an as-needed basis.
