RECRUITMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist HR Generalist with the posting of open positions and screens candidates.
- Refers appropriate candidates to hiring supervisor.
- Responsible for Team Member recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Tracking and auditing Team Member training.
- Serves as the first point of contact for all recruitment related matters.
- Prepares employment agreements and any other necessary documents necessary during the Team Member life cycle – I.e., Proof of Employment letters, annual Merit Increase letters, Letters of Separation etc.
- Work with Managers and Department Leads to produce and maintain a high level of Team Member Retention.
- Tracks Police Record Checks and ensures receipt or hard copy.
- Oversees application process for funded positions through GREAT and other government programs.
- Prepares reports related to the Team Member lifecycle.
- Attends job fairs on and off reserve.
- Ensures all personnel documents are accurate and maintained.
- Remains current with industry trends and employment legislation.
- Assist in creating a positive culture that reflects the corporation values.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information relating to the activities of SNGRDC.
- Assists with other HR matters as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, plus one (1) year of work-related experience.
OR
- Secondary diploma and two (2) years of directly related experience.
- Practical experience applying Canada Labour Code, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Act, and Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Practical experience of Human Resources Management System (HRMS) software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong research skills.
- Exercise discretion, judgment, and high degree of confidentiality in handling information.
- Must demonstrate high level of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and iCloud applications or willing to learn.
- Must pass police record check.
- Willingness to learn, accept change, and adapt to new ideas, business concepts, and cultures.
- Flexible (extra hours may be required on occasion).
IMPACT OF ERROR
Error in judgement may lead to loss of credibility, poor public relations, public confidence and misinformation resulting in embarrassment and potential liability to the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation.
