Reporting to the Campus Talent Acquisition (CTA) team the CTA Co-op Student is responsible for working with Teck’s Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, and Human Resources teams as well as our large pool of Co-op students to support attraction, recruitment, and retention initiatives.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, and is comfortable with public speaking. We are seeking an individual with strong attention to detail who enjoys planning and executing fun and engaging events. The ideal candidate can work independently and in team settings with a competency to prioritize competing demands of a fast-paced professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Support innovative campus attraction programs both virtually and on-campus
• Assist with our nationwide Campus Recruitment Program, both virtually and on-campus at post-secondary institutions across Canada (travel may be required)
• Support Teck’s student-employee engagement and retention strategy which includes events / activity building and leading student-focused internal programs.
• Build relationships and communicate effectively with external organizations and internal business partners
• Participate in a diverse number of projects that aim to strengthen Teck’s talent attraction, recruitment, and retention strategies
• Actively contribute ideas and input to ensure that Teck’s campus programs are innovative, impactful, and relevant

Qualifications:

• Working towards a degree in Human Resources, Business, or another related field
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
• Interest in digital marketing, search engine optimization, and applying data analytics to digital marketing campaigns
• Ability to lead and manage a team of 10 or more co-op students
