Senior Accountant Job Description
Reporting to the Controller
Tiger Tool International is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-growing company. Our ideal candidate is someone who has completed the Common Final Examination (CFE) and looking to make a change from public practice. As a member of the accounting team, the Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring that accounts and financial records meet established standards and criteria. Their duties include analyzing financial documents, recording, and verifying transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with month-end closing and support financial related reporting to keep work flowing and meet deadlines for operating company as well as related companies
· Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs
· Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
· Produce error-free accounting reports and schedules
· Analyse financial information and provide insight and trend analysis
· Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
· Provide support on ERP matters and look for efficiencies and best practices
· Assist with year-end reviews, compilations, and tax returns
· Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
· Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
· Special projects and other ad hoc duties as required
· Actively contribute to a clean, organized working environment
· Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic, supporting other members of the accounting team
· Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
· Successfully passed CFE
· At least three years’ experience in an accounting role
· Public practice experience considered an asset

Salary: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
